Any project needs a Mission Statement to express the purpose, the driving need, the social value, and the critical parameters. It also is used as an emotional, motivational response to consortium partners providing clarity and focus for the project team.
In order to choose one Mission, all consortium partners defined 5 possible missions and then a poll was carried out. The winning mission that the project is pursuing is:
- To provide to society with an easier and safer genetic prenatal diagnosis by a satisfactory integration of scientific and technological advances.
We also need to promote the right values to reach the objectives.
- Pride: We must feel proud of being part of this extraordinary project. An EU project is a unique framework in the world.
- Humility: We also must participate and contribute with our ideas with honesty and hard work, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and solidarity.
- Responsibility: We have duties to ourselves, and to our society, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying, than giving our scientific mind to a difficult task.
